FAQ

Questions about wine cooler repair

On a compressor-based cooler the common causes are a dirty condenser, a failed fan, a refrigerant leak or a thermostat fault. On a thermoelectric cooler it is usually a failed module or fan, or simply a room that is too warm for the unit to keep up. A diagnosis tells you which and whether repair makes sense.

Yes. One dead zone usually means a failed fan, damper, sensor or control for that zone, while the refrigeration itself is fine. It is normally a repair.

For built-in and quality freestanding compressor units, usually yes. For small thermoelectric coolers it depends on the fault, and we will tell you plainly when replacement is the better answer.
